Color And The Apple ][

The Apple][ was one of the first personal computers with built-in
color capability. Some users apparently weren't ready for it:

For some time after the machine came on the market, customer support
would get calls from people who were having trouble getting color
output.

The process of tracking down the problem was soon compressed to
a single question: "Do you have a color TV?"

(The most common response being "No. Why? Does it make a difference?")

The calls began tailing off after the owner's manual was changed to
include a warning that color output wouldn't appear unless you had
your Apple][ connected to a *color* TV.

Ha, ha, ha. Take me back to [ the alphabetic list ] [ the date-ordered list ].
